Blog? Yeah, we're not fans of the word either, but we do enjoy keeping a journal of our web finds, design ideas and everything else that fuels our work and lives. Check back often and we'll try to keep up. |

Car Type
There are hundreds of auto sites...and dozens are worth visiting. One of the best, Cartype, has a solid design theme. As they state on their hompage:
'A website featuring a comprehensive collection of emblems, car company histories, logos, reviews of typographical & graphical applications, design features and just about anything that is car related.'
Just the brochures tab has me browsing for hours. A 1981 Delorean brochure cover?
1978 Maserati Khamsin? Yup. My favorite could be the type on this 65' Lancia cover. Or search by auto brand for posters, postcards, exhibits and much more.
Essential.

Deus Ex Machina
I love looking at well made custom motorcyles. And no, not like the crap cycles being spit out on Amercian Chopper and the like. The bikes over at Deus Machina are amazing...both with engines and without. Plus, the store is well done and the overall design of the site is solid. The gallery is a worth a visit alone. So, so good and worth a bookmark. And that Triumph T120 Bonnewille Bobber? Woah.
Too bad the actual shop and cafe are in Australia.

The Museum of Bad Album Covers
As much as the internet is a source of inspiration for design, it's also has a steady stream of site that illustrate 'What NOT to do."
Enter The Museum of Bad Album Covers...damn.
Of course we're partial to the metal pages, but they are all pretty good.

America Is F*cked.......(Graphically at least)
Yes, you've most likely seen this somewhere, but it's always worth a link. Aaron Draplin drops knowledge on the state of US graphics. Pretty on point stuff. Warning, not work safe in terms of language.
